This Privacy Policy explains how Arctyve Labs ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use The Click Game (the "App"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and complying with applicable data protection laws, including COPPA (USA) and GDPR (EU/EEA).

Note for parents: The Click Game is a reflex/clicking game open to all age groups, including children under 13. We do not collect any real names, email addresses, or precise location data. No account registration is required.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide voluntarily:

  • Display name (username): An optional nickname you choose yourself. This is stored on your device and, if you choose to appear on the leaderboard, sent to our leaderboard server. You are not required to use your real name.
  • Country: An optional country selection used only to display a flag next to your leaderboard entry.

Information collected automatically:

  • Anonymous user ID: A randomly generated identifier (UUID) created on your device to link your scores to your leaderboard entry. This ID is not linked to any personal identity.
  • Game scores and statistics: Scores, levels, and achievements are stored locally on your device only.
  • Ad-related data: If you see ads, Google AdMob may collect certain device and usage data as described in Section 4.

We do not collect real names, email addresses, phone numbers, precise location, photos, contacts, or any other sensitive personal information.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To display your score and display name on the global leaderboard (only if you submit a score).
  • To save your game progress, settings, and achievements on your device.
  • To serve advertisements through Google AdMob (see Section 4).

3. Leaderboard & Supabase

Leaderboard data (anonymous user ID, display name, country, and score) is stored on servers provided by Supabase. Supabase acts as our data processor and stores data in secure cloud infrastructure. Leaderboard entries are publicly visible within the App.

You can choose not to submit scores and not to set a username, in which case no data is sent to our servers.

4. Advertising (Google AdMob)

The App displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and use data such as advertising identifiers (IDFA / GAID), device type, and general location (derived from IP address) to serve ads.

Because the App may be used by children under 13, we configure AdMob to request child-directed treatment, which disables personalized advertising and interest-based targeting for all users.

You can opt out of interest-based ads on your device:

  • iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking → disable "Allow Apps to Request to Track"
  • Android: Settings → Google → Ads → "Delete advertising ID"

5. Children's Privacy (COPPA / GDPR-K)

We take children's privacy seriously. The App is designed to be safe for players of all ages.

  • We do not knowingly collect personal information from children for marketing purposes.
  • No account registration or email address is required to play.
  • Display names are optional and chosen by the user — we encourage parents to help young children choose a non-identifying nickname.
  • Ads are served with child-directed settings enabled (no behavioral profiling).
  • If a parent or guardian believes we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child, please contact us at kurular4@gmail.com and we will delete it promptly.

6. Data Retention

  • On-device data (scores, settings, achievements): retained until you uninstall the App.
  • Leaderboard data (on Supabase): retained until you request deletion by contacting us.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Request access to the data we hold about you.
  • Request correction or deletion of your data.
  • Object to or restrict processing of your data.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at kurular4@gmail.com. Because data is stored by anonymous ID, please include your display name and approximate date of use so we can locate your record.

8. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect data in transit and at rest. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Third-Party Links

The App does not contain links to third-party websites other than those mentioned in this policy. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of external sites.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Effective date" at the top of this page will reflect the date of the most recent revision. Continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
